About Annie's Traveling Tea Wagon
My name is Ann Hanson, originally from Montreal, Canada.
I started my business after moving to Anaheim Hills,
California.  The business flourished for 3 years until my husband was transferred  to Indiana. Now in our new
home here in Carmel I would like to continue some of
the traditions started with Annie's Tea Wagon.

Tea and tea preparations were a part of my day-to-day
family life while  growing up. Cherished memories of
tea time was to quickly drink our tea,  turn our cups upside down on the saucer and stand in line waiting for Grandma
to read our tea leaves.  Later, as an adult, I started my own tea tradition in our neighborhood of Hamilton, Ontario.
I  hosted an annual little girls dress-up tea party in my
backyard.  Each year the event became more grandiose
than the previous year.

After my husband's transfer to California I was lucky to
find an opportunity at a  local tea room/gift shop that was looking for a hostess.  Right up my alley!  For the next
three an a half years I became intricately involved as a
partner with Tea & Teacups in Yorba Linda, California and found a very good friend in the owner Valerie Blackholly.
As Manager and Hostess of the gift shop & the tea room
I took great pride in making sure each guest felt special
and welcomed.  While expanding my love of tea and
tea rituals, I also had the pleasure of meeting many new friends.

I was the president of the Southern California Victorian Ladies Tea & Chapeaux Society and a member of The
Tea & Cottage Arts Guild of Southern California.  I also
did  volunteer work at the Yorba Linda Senior Community Center and the Anaheim Senior Community Center. Now, here in Indiana, I am presently volunteering for
Conner Prairie Museum,  the Museum of Miniature
Houses, Carmel Sympathy Orchestra and the Carmel Clay Library Guild.

In February of 2009 I become an ordained non -
denominational Minister of the Universal  Life Church
to act as a Wedding Officiant for couples wishing to get married.
